Build up

I had quite a few meetings today so A&N headed off to park their car somewhere free and then went on a cycle ride along the canal and back through the Meadows, stopping at a great pizza van there for some lunch. It was a lovely sunny but blowy day so they really enjoyed the adventure. They’d just got home when her dress arrived and she tried it on....loves it and very excited despite not knowing when she’ll end up being able to wear it. They then headed down to town for a wander and a bit of shopping whilst I continued with work...some interesting and more positive than expected discussions.
Once they got back we chatted and did some more planning for the weekend then headed down to a BBQ place they wanted to try out...they loved it although not a patch on the place I went in Toronto last year (can’t believe that was a year ago....what a wipeout 2020 has been!). Getting reading to go out I grabbed a photo of A’s hair...at its longest for many years and about to be cut tomorrow...she’d been keeping it long to have maximum choice of how to style it for the wedding but now wants it shorter to make it easier for work and to look after.
Home and we watched another episode of The Repair Shop which we all love whilst I was supposed to knit her some pockets for her cardigan but we ended up in a mess trying to divide the remaining wool in half to ensure equal sized pockets....took til bedtime to unravel it!
