Robin Hood's Grave

 Yes, I was a bit sceptical too when I saw this marked on the map. This is one of several purported Robin Hood graves scattered around England and this one is most certainly not connected with the infamous Nottingham outlaw. Its been here a long time though and is listed as an important Historical Monument in Westmorland.   There is a prehistoric site very nearby called Robin Howe and the most likely explanation is that names have got confused over the years.
 A very misty walk today on Orton Scar which is shame because I’ve not been here before and was looking forward to admiring the views.
