Ready and waiting

Back on 11th July I posted a blip wondering what the construction was that had commenced on the river. Well here it is, a shiny new mooring spot. All it needs now is a boat to moor there. The problem is that very few boats come along this stretch. Nearly all the traffic cruises parallel to the river on the Relief Channel about a quarter mile to the east. At the time of this photograph there were 5 boats moored up on the Relief Channel by Downham bridge. So far none here. Still it's very nice for sitting on and taking photographs, so thank you Environment Agency.
