Another wet day. Drizzle in the morning and heavier rain during the afternoon. After lunch I set off for Skelwith Bridge and ended up in Bowness!  Leaving Ambleside the traffic was backed up from Rothay Bridge to the main road. I didn’t want to risk getting get stuck if there was a problem ahead so chose a different destination. 

I was lucky to find a parking space at the roadside near the bottom of the hill and thought it would be easier to get out of the passenger door. Fortunately I was only away for 15 minutes because on my return I saw that the car lights were on. Turns out that the warning sound only operates when using the drivers door.
