Blackpool Tower and the Big Dipper!!

I finally saw the sea today!  At a distance!  This is a view over to Blackpool.  Never a good idea to cross over the sands as there are quicksands and very fast rising tides!  Many people have been lost over the centuries attempting just that.  

We went to the end of the pier and sat watching a family and their dog by the water.  I could only just make out four dots.  Remember we were at the end of the pier and the shot was taken at the maximum magnification of my Canon G16.  X5 plus digital zoom.  Not a good place to be when the tide is turning.  They were safe enough today though as it was just before high tide!  You are always very lucky if you see the sea at Southport!!  Extra

It was cold as we went out but then the sun came out and by the time we arrived back it was beautiful!  Really quite hot.   We walked back along Lord Street. Quite a lot of shops closed.  Debenhams for good!  Lots of charity shops open, but we Didn’t go into any! Bars open on the pavement as is normal.

Feeling shattered!  Our last evening here.  Ro is going to make us one of his delicious salads!
