Mall

Very hot last night so I didn't sleep well and turned out other folk didn't either. The bride has a cold, not good.
This morning I sorted red packets and went to Kiara 1 Mall. Not a successful trip. After yesterday's cake fiasco I dithered about making, or buying, a replacement. I eventually decided on the former, bought the replacement ingredients and trudged back home in the heat. Half way back I discovered the eggs had been left at Village Grocer so rather than go back I went across to Sri Hartamas and bought dear eggs. Then I found we had 5 in the fridge after all.
I was hot and tired and then to cap it all discovered the mixer had stopped working. Disaster. So hand mixed and worried. Cake #2 looks like it has turned out ok. Cake #1 is now being eaten. Tastes ok.
#2 son surfaced as I got ready to go to the pool. Everyone else was out.
So down to the pool to cool off and doze and read.
#2 son is now in charge of the blackening (traditional NE pre wedding ritual involving gunge snd humiliation). He also has a best man's speech to write for Wen Xin to translate.
So tonight we went to Mid City Mall, very busy with families on Chinese New Year holidays. Much gungy stuff was bought, the groom bought his tea ceremony present from the grandmother, the bride got her ring and 4 pairs of shoes, 2 of the Wens didn't get shoes and I looked at wine glasses.
Back home shoes have been polished, kilt and sporran inspected and double happiness and red material hung on doors.
There is still much to be done, orders of service to be designed and printed, food and drink to be bought, cars to be decorated and cleaned, a seating plan to be agreed.
It will all come together, won't it?
