Snowdrops at Attingham Park

This National Trust property is close to Shrewsbury and well worth a trip to take their Snowdrop Walk. This year, the snowdrops are later but are now giving a beautiful show.

I was surprised how difficult it was to take a photo that gave any idea of how marvellous they look. I have the same problem with bluebells !

You can take a longer walk around their Deer Park but the Mile Walk through the heart of the snowdrops is a Blipper's delight.

The river is very swollen, and I was also intrigued by the contrast between the texture of the water and the starkness of the winter trees. Magic - and I had a choice of blips.

Fast flowing river - with overhanging trees

Yes.... ready !

Rhododendron thinking about it

Ridiculously early daffodil

And you know the image of the traditional National Trust visitor ?
Old fashioned day out

And finally, the same place in VERY different weather last year
Blip - the river in the sun
