1930s Quiz time!

Whitman's Arithmetical tables contains every conversion you ever needed, be it how many pints in a hogshead or spans in a cubit. At least one of my siblings probably still remembers a few of these from the Sunday dinner table.

Also included in my blip is a booklet with is full of translated English phrases that would otherwise make no sense if you are French:

Mrs. Wilkie may linger on for months

These flowers are out of keeping with my hat

In out-of-way spots you cannot be over dainty with your food.

And finally two silk flags from Kensitas cigarette packets circa 1934.
