Sunrise

Had a fair bit to do before we got away. But we did. Lovely drive down the Arno to Arezzo then across broken country to the austere clay hills of the Sienese Crete and then over the metaliferous hills to the drained plains of the Maremma. Stopped in the co-op at Subbiano and they had empty Laphroig tubes on the top shelf. And the filling out back.

Beautiful to walk out into the sea. Resort very organised for Covid. Nice self contained villetta. A bottle of wine welcoming us back. Plenty mosquitoes but never a horsefly.

This air conditioning malarkey is quite the thing. As is hot water on demand.
