Missed it...

... I popped out earlier today (when it was dry and almost sunny).

Less than an hour later, apparently, all manner of kestrel excitement had taken place. 

Some you win... :-/

But I had a chimney sweep to watch look after. 
All sweeping went without hitch. 
No small children were harmed. 
Though, my dread was definitely more jackdaw related. 
(They peck right through chimneys with their wily Beak Superpowers.
Who knew?).  
Their huge nests have caused us all manner of soot problems in the past on days like this. So I approach Sweep Time with many dust sheets, much furniture-moving and a degree of pessimism.
