I slept on big style; most unusual; I suspect the tramp home might have been the catalyst.
An hour of messing about (looking at puncture etc) and out to meet Her at Chesser. Having failed rather badly on the daily targets, there was one day to meet the weekly targets (a shortfall of 18 miles and 35K steps)
From Chesser we biked to Cramond, narrowly avoiding a collision in traffic with Middleman at Craigleith (his $1 sunglasses alerted me to the wearer's identity; similarly, he spotted Her more than me, so I guess the power of blip . insta, eh?) and a paddle in the sea before a collection of bits from mine and onto Leith to Qupi for lunch. Due to road works for the tram extension, the cooncil were selling £10 vouchers for a fiver for shops on the Walk to encourage people to go whilst work is ongoing. So frittata and a bean wrap accompanied a couple of flat whites as we sat in the sun on their terrace on Smith's Place.
Onwards and up the rest of the Walk; to Hers to check in on the delinquents and off out again to Braid HIlls; one of the 7 Embra Hills and one that had previously eluded me. (Only Craiglockhart to get for the set)
The sun continued to beat down; golfers were at enough of a distance to be of no intrusion and we soaked up the views from Ben Ledi to N Berwick Law.
To Hers to roast a chicken and in spite of the miles, I was unable t manage any more of the blackberry upside down cake so cycled home after dark to collapse into bed. I didn't even mange TDF highlights - something to squeeze into Monday's working day seeing as it's a rest day ;-)
