WHY?

In this vast land of ours why do we need to build houses on top of each other. I suppose I know the answer really. It's about developers squeezing in as many structures as they can to maximise their profit.

This particular new estate, adjacent to the golf course,  is designed for the over 55 year olds. Every day when I walk past it I shudder at the thought of it. I suppose if you want to live in a large house with little or no garden and be able to reach out of your window to touch the next house it would suit you perfectly. It wouldn't work for me. I guess I'm being a grumpy old woman today!
