There's not a single shop in this city that sells the national flag - so last night, I appropriated one of our blue tablecloths and made a makeshift flag. A bit shoddy, I know, but I'm rather fond of it :-)

Behind us is the Beehive, our centre of politics. It was a gorgeous day, so there were students and business-people having lunch on the grass.

I love that we can take for granted the ability to walk in an and out of our government grounds.
