Festival Gardens

After the garden festival in 1984 the site was neglected for decades.
Then 9 years ago millions were spent restoring a large proportion of it as a public park.
It seems they then set out to prove that people don’t always learn from the past. It now looks neglected, decidedly scruffy, and like it needs millions spent on it again.
Enjoyable stroll but with a depressing aftertaste.
