SOE

Had a trip into London today and took two friends to The Garden Museum. They hadn’t been before and had a great time. I’m always happy to visit.
We walked there along the riverside from Westminster Bridge  to Lambeth Bridge where I spotted this monument dedicated to the women of the SOE. The figure is that of Violette Szabo. She was executed in 1945 at the age of 23. She posthumously received the George Cross and the Croix de Guerre.
