You can't fail to recognise this (unless you don't know its Shrove Tuesday~or Pancake Day) :)

Pancake Day is also known as Shrove Tuesday in the UK. Its the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent.

The word 'Shrove' comes from an old English word 'shrive' which means 'confess all sins'.

It is called Pancake Day because it is the day traditionally for eating pancakes as pancake recipes were a way to use up any stocks of milk, butter and eggs which were forbidden during Lent.

Another day off for me, to be spent mostly chilling and housework, but I will spend some time thinking about the service I am leading on Sunday! I also intend to make some pancakes later on :)

Have a great day blippers :)
