Autumnal

We are very definitely in September and Autumn is upon us.

At one stage today, I thought we were going to have some pleasant sunshine, but instead we've had some heavy showers, which rather messed up my laundry drying plans :-)

The other thing that has kept me busy was discovering that the door to one of the freezers had not shut properly and an emergency rescue effort was swiftly mounted.  Fortunately very little of the stored soft fruit has had to be discarded, and very little of value has had to be thrown away.  Just as fortunate, we have a second freezer which is now crammed to the gills with all the moved frozen produce.

The second freezer really needs to be defrosted too at some stage, perhaps a job for tomorrow, once the now empty freezer has chilled properly so that I can move everything into it.
