Ascent Achieved!

Ok, I made up it here, but now what...? A little help wouldn't go amiss, you know. Another in the ever lengthening series of 'go outside and see what there is today'...

This shield bug has the loveliest orange red wings, and when finally he felt he had posed enough he spread them and flitted off like a tiny firework. He's sat on a bud on the Twisted Hazel in the back garden.

I'm sat in my study over-looking the playing field. The Covid pandemic has moved all the classes outdoors, and I'm watching a selection of folk from young adults down to kids of five or six years old, all variously practicing Tae Kwon Do.

The kids look far more aggressive than the adults...
