Rainbow in Sundridge

Sundridge isn't the most well-known of places. Before I met Mrs Ottawacker, in those dark and gloomy times I like to call The Dark and Gloomy Times, I'd never heard of it. 

Surprisingly, given its location, quite a few people had. It's main claim to fame seemed to be a big car dealership, but the two-lane highway went there from Toronto to North Bay, so it got quite a lot of through traffic. And there were also holidaymakers too, who came for the nature and to visit Lake Bernard, whose principal claim to fame is that it is the largest freshwater lake in the world without an island. It's also not connected to any other lake, apparently. Lake Bernard, just, well, is.

Anyway, there's now blue-green algae in the lake or green-blue algae or something of a combination of the two. So swimming is very much "at your own discretion" and not advised, especially for those of us whose stomach size means we can no longer see our feet and consequently what we are walking on underwater.
