Those shoes are staying - they even have spots on the heels!  I can see myself wearing them with black jeans and black top.  I have another pair of red shoes, flat ones, also with a strap across and I've worn them in Cairo before when I needed something to cheer me up during the day at work.  There's something about red shoes!
