Day 3

A shorter day, and lovely weather.  We walked from Johnstone Bridge to Lochmaben.  This photo shows 'A' standing underneath an Oak Tree.  Throughout the route the trees were magnificent so old and large, I was particularly taken with the many ancient Oak Trees we walked past.
Lochmaben was bathed in sunshine while we were there and we were very pleased with the pub/hotel we stayed in close to Kirk Loch.
