The nuthatch came to call......
The nuthatch and great spotted woodpecker are regular visitors at the moment.
The nuthatch was busy at times drilling into the bark of the rowan tree, as he hid a nut from time to time. He’s also put them in masonry cracks in the brickwork on the garage wall on other occasions. He stayed for quite awhile yesterday afternoon so I was able to take a lot of photos very quickly before loading them up. He never stays still for long! I just keep pointing and shooting and hope for the best! Then pick out the clearer ones!
Time for a coffee and breakfast before our Sunday Church Livestream service on Youtube.
I cannot imagine simply sitting in church with a mask on for an hour and a half with no singing allowed nor interaction with others afterwards.
It must also feel very strange if you happen to be a minister or pastor confronted by a socially distanced group of (pre-booked) congregation all wearing masks and sitting silently the whole time.
It must be very surreal.
I wonder what churches will really look like this time next year?
So thankful for the huge efforts made to put out a service each week with various people involved, and musicians leading the times of worship.
Putting these services out on-line from churches of all kinds requires creativity and thinking outside the box, as the expression goes.
For those people who have not been able to attend their church for a long time, it has made such a difference in some cases.
Now for my coffee and Sunday croissant!
