On the Road again!

Up early to drive to meet cousin from London in Pitlochry ( he’s holidaying in Perthshire) we drove through the mountains to Aberdeenshire to visit another cousin,

I have missed tootling about with visitors ! Blip is Glenshee heading up over towards Braemar where we stopped for coffee.

I travelled this same road last year on this same day to attend The Braemar Royal Gathering always first Saturday in September apart from this year!
Our journey took us through different landscapes .... heather coated hills & mountains , arable farmland, bonnie waterfalls trickling over the rugged rocks. Sheep & cattle, barley fields being harvested , tatties ( potatoes ) ready for harvesting too.

Had a good old catch up with cousin & are her out of house & home
Return journey via Speyside ( whisky in the air!) & Aviemore
Stayed overnight a close to Loch Tummel.
I tried not to guide as cousin drove ....... difficult
I was so excited to be out & about! Ah ! Simple pleasures!
