My First Arizona Snowstorm!!!!

It snowed!  And snowed!  And snowed!  Huge flakes.  It was like nothing we have ever seen here before. People were outside with their cameras - homes, businesses.  Everything seemed to come to a halt.  Even the television (the satellite is still out many hours later).

It completely covered the ground and stayed for a while, but it stopped about sundown and the snow on the ground and warmer places melted.  It seemed like the roofs stayed white but when the darkness arrived my bad vision got even worse :-)

It looked really cool on the cactus  - this is my neighbor's cholla - but I wasn't prepared for the cold and I raced home from the dentist, took some pictures of mine and then hurried to cover them as best as I could.  Hopefully, the glaze of the snow will help protect them from the cold. Trying to be a glass half-fuller.

Nothing like the total awesomeness of nature to lift your spirits.
