Inquisitive
I did find a few things to photograph at home and around the village today, but as it was a pleasant afternoon I made a snap decision to go out anyway - after all, the cold, dark months are on their way, when we might all be stuck indoors for days at a time - and drove over to Trench Wood.
I haven't yet looked at the macro shots I took, and I hope that when I do I'll find a few that are worth posting to my photography page. But as soon as I had this close encounter with a Southern Hawker I knew that I'd be blipping him - because dragons, and also because it's always nice when you manage to capture a reasonable flight sequence.
I'd like to tell you that this photo required immeasurable technical skill, but I'm not going to lie: he made it really easy for me by keeping coming to take a look at my strange behaviour, and hovering right in front of me. All I had to do was focus the camera and press the shutter. I am pleased with it though, and I'd love you to take a look at it full-screen, if you have the time.
Thank you, Mr S. Hawker.
