spent most of the day outside in Nelsonville, shooting for Subleaser.
again- posting this a couple of days after the fact
so some details are a little foggy.
this picture was taken right beside where we had breakfast & lunch.
although not in use by its former residents anymore,
several giant bees lingered in the area throughout the day.
a dead bat was also on location.
a street light had burned throughits casing,
raffle winner, Nathan Becker, was on set for his big moment of fame
(seen here going over blocking with our director and serial killer,
with the gaffer watching)
an umbrella was set up to prevent birds from using the camera as a toilet.
sadly, they got to the mixer before it was covered.
audio was not fun to try to capture here.
very long shots dont cooperate well when more equipment is miles away to begin with;
cords may not reach to where we need to go.
add to this the fact that there was only 1 outlet on the entire block,
and the fact that we were shooting on a city street-
cas, church bells, the infinite number of birds, trains, townsfolk...
all made audio hard to capture here.
we knew there was very little chance any of it was going to be useable,
so we signed up to use the studio for an ADR session sunday afternoon,
before our lead actor goes back to Cincinatti- for good.
the night ended with horror movies, pizza, and cold stone.
