Err, High Altitude Bouquetin Loo....

... at 2595m close to the refuge Chalin on the north side of the Dents du Midi. It is a fantastic walk up to there, taking in the Valerette and Valere Peaks, getting closer and closer to the huge massif of the Dents. You get some idea of the scale of the ridge which ends next to the white band of rock in the photo in extras. I was alone this morning and luckily set off very early so saw a marmot sunbathing and a golden eagle soaring overhead (extras). It is so satisfying to look out from our house this evening and see the whole of the route.

Thanks for all the presents for yesterday’s reflections too, very kind of you.
