Reflections

   This site has got it's traditions and one of them are blip birthdays.  Usually there  are quite many days between two blipdays.  4000 blips and eleven years have the smallest difference, only 15 days.  But after this, although I should live hundred years and blip each day, there will not be another two birthdays  which were so near each other:)

   I hope that   this site will survive also in the future, because this is quite special platform. For those who like  positive atmosphere
 and  not bad speaking of other people  this is the right site.
  Especially younger generations have accustomed to the fact that one need not pay of using special platforms.  Naturally this is not the fact.  Those sites use data collected from us and use advertisements .   This is not the case of Blipfoto, there are no advertisements.  I wish that the knowledge of that would spread for new blippers who don't want that information of them are used for advertisement purposes.
   Many of  us have used much of their time to the photos published here. So the knowledge that the organization does not misuse our photos is crucial.  I think that this is a big value and this information had to be spread for new people.
    I assume that it may be a surprise also  for old  blippers that the number of active blippers is very small compared to the commercial sites.  You can easily make an estimation of the amount of active blippers   when following how quickly  the 50 recent pages of blips change. Of that one can easily estimate that during the last months there have been published about 1200 - 1400 blips daily ( plus those
who keep their blips private, but I assume that amount is not very big).
Naturally everyone does not publish each day , but anyhow the amount of blippers is quite small.
  I wish that we can spread the knowledge of this special site for
new people who like the special values of this site.  Also  many enough of the old blippers would wake  up to understand  how we can survive also in the future.  This is especially important when we look the fact that quite many of the current supporters  of Blipfoto are quite "grown up people".  It means that  we need new blood to the supporter group all the time.
