I am cheating a little today as we are having some work done in the house, so will not be able to be out and about. Yesterday we visited Pollok House in Glasgow and I have made a collage of that.
Pollok House is the ancestral home of the Stirling Maxwell family, located in Pollok Country Park, Glasgow, Scotland.
The house – built in 1752 and originally thought to be designed by William Adam, but who may only have been consulted on the design, was subsequently extended by Rowand Anderson in the early 20th century – was gifted to the City of Glasgow in 1966 by Dame Anne Maxwell Macdonald, whose family had owned the estate for almost 700 years. It is now managed by the National Trust for Scotland and is open to the public. The house was modernised internally in 1899 by Alexander Hunter Crawford.

The restaurant in the house is currently closed due to Corona Virus, but the gardens and grounds, which are extensive, are open. There is a herd of Highlanders in the grounds, and the Glasgow Police Department Mounted Police keep their horses in the stables there.
