SALVA OR PENSTEMON?

SALVAS & PENSTEMONS are very popular in the US Southwest, & 
I really like them all.  They love the heat & come in many wonderful colors, even blue, my favorite. Today I realize I do not know what makes them different.  Hummingbirds & butterflies don't care which is which.
They loves those tubular flowers without worrying about the category.

It has been a rough day, so I am just going to enjoy these pretty pink
flowers.  Today is the beginning of Labor Day weekend, which will
go through Monday.  When we lived in Michigan we used to rent a cottage on Lake Michigan every Labor Day weekend.  I have many fond memories of those fun holidays.  This year we are encouraged to stay indoors because it will be 110 tomorrow & 111 on Sunday, which are dangerous
temperatures.  We are being asked not to have family gatherings
or celebrations with friends, to help minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Our previous Summer holidays were not taken seriously, & our 
cases skyrocketed.  Hopefully, we can stay busy at home & 
finally "flatten the curve."  

Thank goodness for FLOWER FRIDAY.   All of those flowers
lighten the load.
