Building work continues through the snow
I woke up this morning to quite a blanket of snow, although the temperature was above freezing and the snow was very soft. Nevertheless, I haven't bothered to get the car out today.
I have been asked to keep a regular photographic record of progress on the building work for the new Science block at school. Today may be the only opportunity to photograph it in snow! Work was still continuing, piling a retaining wall to the edge of the site, and the hole for the first pile had been drilled, although the weather was unsuitable for pouring concrete. Here the site foreman and two of the construction workers are discussing progress over the steel rods which will reinforce the top of the concrete piles.
