WWII Historic City
On Wednesday, President Trump was in Wilmington, and aboard the Battleship USS North Carolina, to officially name us a World War II Historic City. This was all done Wednesday as it was the 75th anniversary of the end of the war.
I have refrained from posting anything about the President's visit as I don't want political comments and opinions made one way or the other regarding the President.
Just let it be said that he is our President and as such it was an honour for our city to have The Commander in Chief declare Wilmington, NC the first WWII Historic City in the USA.
Wilmington has a rich history, good and not so good, and it is nice to see some of that good history being recognized.
Friday has somehow arrived again! I had a wonderful lunch with Birgit on her back porch and we put the world to rights. Happy Weekend Everyone.
Stay home if you can. Take care of yourself and each other xx
