Sunny Cromdales...

en route to the Earth House and Fox Tower, the latter just visible in the trees far right. The Earth House is an underground structure and was probably used as a sma' still for producing whisky by local people. The Fox Tower is a recent structure built by the householder so he can climb up three stories and watch foxes. Don't know how many he saw as the keepers here are pretty active!
Although windy, it was a glorious day and watched a Stoat stalking a covey of Partridge. I startled them accidentally, thereby saving their lives!
Lots of Crossbills and Goldfinches in the trees and even a Grey Wagtail still here.
The colours were stunning!
