...stands on the precipice! 

Not exactly, just the compression from a long lens.

I've Blipped this view before, it's looking out over Mountsorrel Quarry towards Loughborough and on one of my regular walks around and about from home. The university tower is a landmark that's been around a while. As it was nice and clear today (this morning at least) you can see the control tower for East Midlands Airport in the middle distance.
