Knoblauch
"Knoblauch" was the nickname of this gentleman, Waldemar Reichhard. He was a well known figure in Wiesbaden in the 60s & 70s & also in to the 80s.
He was originally an Opera Singer but his career was (anecdotally) cut short by his love of garlic (Knoblauch means garlic in German). From what I've read, he used to "preach" about the benefits of Garlic (and the evils of womankind) in the city centre.
He was a well known figure and apparently you could smell him long before you could see him. He had a favourite coffee shop where he used to take a cup of coffee every day. But they insisted on serving him outdoors because he smelled so strongly of garlic.
Anyway it was a quick & easy Blip.
I apologise for my ongoing lack of engagement with Blip. I'm not altogether happy.
