At Surprise View
A long Zoom meeting this morning finding out how to update the DiG part of the RPS website. Am slowly getting the hang of it.
Then Len, Basil and I drove to Surprise View in the Peak District, not so terribly far from Sheffield. I'd wanted to see the heather in bloom but we were, as I had warned Len, a week to ten days late to see it at its best. It's still blooming fairly colourfully in sheltered spots such as gullies at Surprise View but it's dry at Higger Tor where we went afterwards.
Good skies today. Some good sun rays and showers between the sun and the cloud. Found walking difficult which is not a very good sign.
We enjoyed a superb ice cream from the Peak District Dairy ice cream van.
Stopped at Trowell southbound on the M1 for a Costa Coffee and to watch the sunset clouds.
Lovely day out.
