Looking out on the world

The coffee met up with U3A sewing friends in someone’s garden which was planned for this morning was cancelled when we woke to pouring rain. Such a shame as by lunchtime the weather was beautiful :0( 

This afternoon I went with B to get new lenses fitted in his specs, he bounced the old ones off the patio when he was cleaning it recently. We called in by a store for an item we planned to buy the day that I went for my scan .....a bit of a delay but we have it now. 

Petrol on the way home, my blip, from the safety of the car!!! 

I received a message and photo from A this morning. The children went back to school today after 6 months at home. Some apprehension was felt by everyone, but there will have been plenty of chat over dinner this evening. 

In these past 6 months I have missed out on 4 trips to London to meet up with A, Max and Annie to visit places of interest and importance. It was my turn to choose the first one, which would have been a backstage tour of the National Theatre on the South Bank.
