Loudon Hill

LH is back on site at the windfarm, but finished early and managed to make a visit to Loudon Hill on the way home.

This was the site of one, and possibly two battles during the Wars of Independance, notably Robert the Bruce's first victory over the English. The memorial is to William Wallace, who reputedly fought here in 1296/7 although it is uncertain if this actually took place.
