Excitement

I have posted before about A H Auden's Night Mail.

The final verse came immediately to mind this morning:

Asleep in working Glasgow, asleep in well-set Edinburgh,
Asleep in granite Aberdeen,
They continue their dreams,
But shall wake soon and hope for letters,
And none will hear the postman's knock
Without a quickening of the heart,
For who can bear to feel himself forgotten?

The instant the door bell rang - albeit, it was TNT and not the postman but the feeling is just the same.

All for a set of 20m lane ropes and 4 suction cups - just for my group of Master swimmers.
