Snow Damage?

These Iris reticulata were planted at the same time as my eighth January blip but nearly all of this set have the top of their leaves broken.

Perhaps a pigeon sat on them while they were covered in snow, who knows? But I hope the flower buds are still intact.

Time will tell.
