Wednesday: Bison Herd
Onwards today, from Muncho Lake to Watson Lake, Yukon Territories. It was also the day for wildlife viewing - 4 black bears (one of whom had 2 cubs with her, a herd of bison and some more independently minded bison and some porcupine for good measure).
We also followed some paths off the road and discovered Smith Waterfall and Whirlpool Canyon.
We’re now overnighting in Watson Lake. There is a travel arrangement between Yukon and British Columbia, meaning we can travel between the two, but we were stopped at the border and asked a few COVID related questions.
Extras:
- Gas station
- Welcome to Yukon
- Bear Crossing
- Smith Falls
- Watson Lake’s Sign Post Forest
