Another pub, another lunch

Another pub, another lunch. Today we met old friends P&P, usually known as ‘our Cotswold friends’. We usually manage to see them once a year, staying in each others homes. When I felt it was time we met again, I drew a line on the map between their home in The Cotswolds and ours in Surrey, and found that the half way was in the Newbury area. So we picked a pub (The Star at Kingsclere) and met them there today. It was so very good to see these dear friends whom we have known for more than fifty years.
The pub was not far from son J’s home, so we went there afterwards and caught up with all their news.
