A House That's Done

We were invited today to this Italian/French couple's house for a glass of wine. They've been here about the same time as us, and we've watched their house going up; it's right beside the Lake where we walk sometimes. Went there on Sunday to give them some photos I'd taken of their house, but just put them in the postbox at the bottom of their drive.

It's a stunning house, with floor to ceiling windows on all four sides, and masses of insulation, so that it's never hot in the heat, or cold in the winter. They can watch the sunset over the Lake from this window, and the sun or moon rise from the opposite one. Huge wooden shutters that slide inbetween the outer stone (all the stone from the ruin that was there before) walls and the inner concrete ones. I totally loved it; Mike not so much - because it's "all done". Exactly.

Bit worrying about the quarantine business, given that Paul and Karis are due to arrive next week, and neither can afford to risk that...

Gratefuls:
- that God knows and cares about that, and about Julia
- the huge orange moon rising outside our front door
- getting off the Land twice today
