Down by the river

Maris and I came into the centre of town today to do a wee shop. Happily she thought that the shiny red Peugot we parked next to was 'really cute.' The River Ness is a wonderful thing, quite short, but very wide and therefore seldom floods. There are now flood defences, but I'm not sure they have ever been needed. I had to phone the Post Office today about my home insurance, but the very helpful woman said I'd have to phone somebody else. I got one of these endless offers of recorded options by someone with an American accent, and gave up.
