Newark Violin School & Church
Took my son's school suit & my treasured Ventile cotton coat to be dry cleaned in today. Ventile was a new high tech government commisioned high perfrormance cotton fabric needed for fire hoses and later for use by pilots in WWII.
Enjoyed a pootle round Newark in glorious sunshine and with lots of people about. Picked up a couple of fairly naff CD towers for £2 each, but will do the job and a toy tractor for 50p from Barnados.
Pictured is Newarks School of Violin Making & Repairs to the left and The Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene.
Another evening, another party for my son. He's sensible (but fun) so will minimise Covid risk I would think.
