Castles in the air

Yesterday we clealry got the travel bug and so today off early - c 9:30 am - and down to the valley. Plenty of half decent countryside on empty roads took us along thew Ibie valley to St. Montan, a village we last visited about 25 years ago when they were starting to (over?) restore it. 
Now apicture postcard town of pan-tiled rooves topped by a suitably crenellated castle. Lunch under some arches kept us going for a return via the Ardeche Gorge where suddenly traffic was everywhere.
