Inverurie at 4.24pm on a Monday in January

After overnight snow which thawed through the day, Inverurie woke up to the news of the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI.

The food scandals of course continue, but at least the pressure is off for a bit which should allow the local council to dig up the town centre car park in the hope of unearthing a monarch or two.
