Our New Heat Pump
Had to document this occasion today….plus it was great entertainment. 6 of us in this 9 townhouse condo were replacing our very old HVAC’s. We would have waited another year for ours…we never used the AC, but since we were HERE and not away, decided to go for it and share the crane fee..another positive perk for staying at home. Only we have a new owner who bought his place in the middle 2 whole years ago and has not yet moved in as he is doing some remodeling (?) …and he decided to get his own heat pump…different brand from ours.. hard to believe it came the SAME day and his crane that only was used for his one HVAC, barely got out of the way when it was time for ours. Unbelievable. I think he is definitely not ready for condo living. Maybe he won’t ever move in. :-)
top…this was a huge crane, taken looking up from the parking lot in back of our condo….to the 3 1/2 story roof. You can see my next door neighbor wanting to direct it. :-)
bottom… from our end unit on the roof looking west… # 4 being delivered.. Of course the old ones went down at same time—-it was all very efficient. The guys in middle (red shirt) are installing the odd one out from the new neighbor…and wondering “what the heck…?’ I’m sure. Our 6 will all be hooked up by the end of the week….We should be able to adjust it all from our phone! ( All those skylights look into the master bathrooms on 3rd floor…H is sweeping to check on the boards that will hold these up off the roof)
Extra…unhooking the old HVAC early morning after a rain…looking south to city. Taken from ladder on our roof deck….bottom, our roof deck (dining room) looking north
