St Abbs
It's been a lovely day, mostly sunny, warm and fairly calm.
Up early, and headed out after breakfast. First stop, Jedburgh. The Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots House, and the Castle Jail all closed due to Covid-19, the only thing open was the Sheriff Clark, with a queue of locals awaiting their fate. After a walkabout, I managed a coffee before moving on. Headed into England again, just because I can from here, and headed for a walk to the Linhope Spout waterfall. A chip supper in Wooler, before heading back to Scotland. A walk around Eyemouth, and then St Abbs. Sat Nav doesn't half take me strange routes, but loving being off motorways and large roads. A quiet night at the cottage.
I was stunned, as we headed down towards the harbour in St Abbs. An old fishing harbour, with various small docks, some stunning old houses dotted along the banks, just a perfect little charming village. It wasn't a planned visit here, so I must go look out some information on the area, as it clearly is a me kinda place.
