Butterfly, Bee & Buddleia

The sun returned today and a bit of warmth, and so the butterflies and bees returned too (and unfortunately the wasps). So nice to see a Comma in the garden. I'm still digging the rubble out of a small bed in the garden, in my extra you can see what I got out of a 6ft long x 1ft wide bit. The brick, breeze block chunk and a foot long piece of wood must have been there since the place was built nearly 25 years ago! Now I'm sitting watching the US Open, so fab to be watching live grand slam tennis again. In the 5th set of a match between Cam Norrie and Schwartzman.

UK deaths up 2 to 41,501 (revised basis), with new daily cases up by 1,406 and 764 patients in hospital. There are now 16 confirmed cases on the TUI flight from Zantos and there are questions about whether Covid secure rules were followed. An illegal rave in a bunker in Oslo led to about 25 people suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning from the portable diesel generators used. The illegal rave in Wales has now led to 8 people being fined up to £10k and arrests for driving under the influence of drugs and for public order offences. Tougher action is needed and information campaigns to stop the covidiots causing a 2nd wave. The outbreak at Banham Poultry in Norfolk has now seen 96 staff test positive and all staff are now self isolating.
